Karen Forsman
MYNEWJOB General Manager, Karen Forsman, has worked in various sectors throughout her career including agriculture, forestry, import/export, insurance, banking, tourism.
Karen has recruitment & project management expertise. She works with a range of businesses, in NZ & Australia, providing an affordable and effective recruitment service across all job categories.
Karen is an Associate of the NZ Institute of Management & Leadership, a member of The Recruitment, Consulting and Staffing Association Australia & New Zealand (RCSA). She has a strong business network locally through her involvement with the Buller Branch of Hospitality NZ and is currently the Accommodation Chair for the region.
A passionate advocate for creating employment opportunities in the region, Karen and her team work with a small portfolio of clients on the West Coast delivering recruitment, administration and project management support.
Marcel Smith
Marcel provides a CV & Cover letter writing service for jobseekers locally, nationwide and also across the ditch in Australia! She has an eye for detail and can quickly help jobseekers turn their CV into a highly polished and professional looking document to help them stand out from the crowd.
A critical part of the team, Marcel tirelessly delivers a high level executive assistant function to ensure the myriad of day-to-day tasks for the business and clients run smoothly.
Marcel also assists with local recruitment and keeps her finger on the pulse to ensure client expectations and deadlines can be met.
Alison Gygax
Alison is an experienced Recruitment Consultant with a strong background in contract catering, facilities management and the hospitality sector. Following a successful career in the UK in management roles with well known brands including Aramark, Compass Services and Sodexho; Alison and her husband immigrated to New Zealand where they founded and ran the exclusive Birds Ferry Lodge, Charleston, West Coast for 17 years.
Alison joined the MYNEWJOB team in January 2021; Her wealth of knowledge about the unique challenges of the West Coast, including staffing due to the seasonal nature of the West Coast tourism and visitor industry has already proved invaluable as a local recruitment specialist and supporting various projects.
